Securing your reservation means you accept the terms and conditions as follows:

 

General Rules

 

Check-in time is from 2 pm on the arrival date, please confirm with us if you are planning to arrive after 8 pm. Check-out time is by 10 am on the departure date

 

Our units are all designated non-smoking. Smoking outdoor is accepted. We ask that you close doors to prevent smoke from entering your room. If you do smoke inside, you may be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.

 

Visitors are accepted but please advise us if they stay overnight. Visitors must be careful not to use other guest parking.

 

We often have guests checking in on the day of your check out and the contracted housekeeping staff have specifically been scheduled for the work. The units must be left in a reasonably clean and tidy state.  Late checkout or excess cleaning fees may be deducted from your credit card.    

 

Nasty odours and damage to carpet/chattels in rooms may incur an extra cleaning charge of one night of accommodation, and/or full or part payment of repair costs. We reserve the right to charge your credit card should such charges be necessary.

 

There will be no reductions for late arrivals, early departures, or temporary absences. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

 

Vehicles parked on our property are left at the owner's own risk. We strongly advise that cars are locked and no personal items are left in your vehicles overnight as this may attract thieves.

 

Quiet Hours and Noise Regulations: In consideration of all guests, quiet hours are observed from 9 PM until 8:00 AM. During these hours, guests are expected to keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests. Excessive noise, including loud music, parties, or disruptive behavior, is strictly prohibited at all times. Failure to comply with the noise regulations may result in eviction from the premises without refund. We kindly request your cooperation in maintaining a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all guests.

 

Bookings are strictly under the condition of no functions or parties are allowed.  Any functions or parties will incur an automatic fee of a minimum of one extra night of accommodation.

 

Illegal drugs are prohibited on the property.  Any evidence of drugs may result in a forfeiture of your entire stay, an immediate eviction, and may incur the costs of testing for meth use.

 

Reservation Policies

 

Once the booking has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that outlines a summary of your booking. Please review the information carefully and contact us immediately if you have any questions or require any changes. This email will also include important information that we urge you to read to ensure your stay with us is issue free. We will also require details of a valid credit card. We may take a pre-authorization payment from the credit card within 2 days of arrival.  

 

The total room costs are due upon check-in. We accept payments directly into our bank account, cash (NZ dollars only), credit card (Visa, Master Card), and other methods if agreed to. Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay) payments incur a 1.5% surcharge, and American Express incurs a 3.5% surcharge. Please contact us at info@tairuashores.co.nz if you would like us to send you our bank account details. 

 

Credit Card Details: On arrival, you will be asked to present a valid credit card to cover incidentals or delayed and amended charges during your stay. We will take a copy of this and retain it to give to your credit card provider in the case of a payment dispute. If you are unable to provide credit card details, you may be required to pay a security deposit.

 

Pets are not permitted.

 

Liability and Disclaimer

 

The management of Tairua Shores Motel shall not be held liable for any personal injuries, accidents, damages, losses, or theft of personal property incurred by guests during their stay. Guests hereby acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for their own well-being and the security of their personal belongings. The management shall not be responsible for any acts, omissions, or negligence of third parties, including other guests or external service providers. Guests further acknowledge that the use of the motel's facilities and amenities is at their own risk. The management shall not be liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages arising from the use of such facilities, including but not limited to swimming pools, gyms, or recreational areas. While the management strives to provide a safe and secure environment, guests are advised to exercise reasonable caution and take appropriate measures to safeguard their personal property.

 

The information provided on our website, promotional materials, and other communication channels is for general informational purposes only. While we make efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information, we do not warrant or guarantee its completeness, timeliness, or suitability for any particular purpose. The management shall not be liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the information provided.

 

Guests are strongly advised to obtain adequate travel insurance to protect against unforeseen events, including but not limited to cancellations, medical emergencies, or travel disruptions. The management shall not be responsible for any financial losses or damages incurred by guests due to such events. By making a reservation and staying at Tairua Shores Motel, guests acknowledge and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the management, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, demands, liabilities, or expenses arising out of their stay or use of the motel's facilities, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the management.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

Please understand that cancellations have a significant impact on us. Securing a reservation means you accept the terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy.

 

Cancellations (less than 3 rooms) made more than 2 days from the check-in date will be free of charge.
Cancellations (less than 3 rooms) made less than 2 days prior to the check-in date will be charged for the full room payment.

 

If we are able to re-sell the dates, we may be able to give full refunds, minus an admin fee of $20. The more notice we receive; the more chance we have of re-selling the dates.

 

Cancellations (more than3 rooms) made more than 21 days from the check-in date will be free of charge.
Cancellations (more than 3 rooms) made less than 21 days prior to the check-in date will be charged for the full room payment.

 

We do not issue refunds or credits for flight cancellations, due to any circumstances. Please take out travel insurance to protect against flight cancellations.

 

Any changes to your reservation are subject to availability and the same conditions as the cancellation policies.

 

There are no refunds or credits issued for early checkouts, bad weather, including any inconvenience or complication caused by weather. Please take out travel insurance to protect against these types of unforeseen events.
